Pleasing God

Actually i don't understand what jasmin is talking about :x haha!

Anyways, talked to the pig about some stuffs from Proverbs 6 last night, i just want to post a short post on it :)

Proverbs 6:16-19 (The Message)
Seven Things God Hates
16-19 Here are six things God hates,
and one more that he loathes with a passion:
eyes that are arrogant,
a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
a troublemaker in the family.

In conclusion, God hates sin. But He loves us. Right after this, in the following verse, He calls us his children. In this case, My son. Lol. But yeah, i was just looking through a teaching this afternoon and i really do believe, we all want to live a godly life. What does it mean? A life that pleases God, isn't it? So what pleases God? I was reading a book this morning and focused on the word Attitude. There are countless verses and explanations regarding attitude, but to sum it all up, it goes: Jesus, Others, Yourself - this is that which will put a smile on God's face.

Honestly, all of us can be self-centered at times, especially when it comes to a point where the opportunity cost is great. Meaning like, if we make a decision, we'd "lose out". But it really comes to a point where sometimes, "pain" is involved. One thing which i learnt from the book,
A humble spirit that accepts the hard things honours God.
